5th place was also a tie (at 8 points each) between Nick Everson’s “Halo: ODST Hell Jumpers” and Arhmend and Juusan’s “Spy Sapping My Sentry!”
Props to Nick for his detailed carving design, and Arhmend/Juusan’s creative use of scene (including sparklers for the sapped sentry!) They’ll both be receiving some awesome stickers and pins!

Our first winners in a three-way tie for 6th place (at 3 points each) are “Falcon Pumpkin” by Pikamari, “I Have A Rocket Launcher” and “PEELS” by BananaDib, Dr. Falcon and Wasabi!
These three entries did a good job of racking up honorable mention points across all the judges with both Halolz references and carving difficulty! Congrats to these three winners who have won some Ninja-Bot sticker packs!

Before I start posting our Halloween contest winners, I felt like we should at least go over how the judging worked this year!
This year we had four judges:

Each judge was asked to pick their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th favorite entry (in order), along with three “honorable mentions.” Then based on their picks each entry would get a number of points like so:
1st – 6 points
2nd – 5 points
3rd – 4 points
4th – 3 points
5th – 2 points
Honorable Mention – 1 point
Then we tallied up all the points and the pumpkins with the highest scores won! Pretty democratic right? So along with each winner I will be posting the point score the pumpkin got (out of a maximum of 24 points).

Hey guys! It’s that time again!
Yep, time for the Halolz video game pumpkin carving contest!
For those new to the site, last year we held a pumpkin carving contest for all Halolz readers! It was actually sort of a last minute thing, but even still we got some fantastic entries and gave away some awesome prizes! And now that we know what we’re doing, this year is going to be even better!

And finally… some of you already guessed it… our first place winner is Ian Wagner with his totally rad Samus jack o’ lantern!
I doubt many people will argue with me when I say that this is one outstanding entry! Alyssa and I both agreed this was the clear winner. I love the effect you get between day and night with the nighttime showing her face through the visor (OMG SPOILER ALERT SAMUS IZ A GIRL)!
For getting first place Ian gets a whole mess of stuff, including the 16″x 20″ Halolz Poster (v1.1), five Wolf stickers, Accordion Hero T-Shirt, BLOW ME T-Shirt, This Is My Axe T-Shirt and a Ninja-Bot shirt of his choice! Just don’t wear them all at once or you will die of awesome shirt overload!

Our second place winner is actually a team… BananaDib (right) and Dr. Falcon (left)!
You have to give them credit, with five entries they were bound to make at least one we’d like! My favorite was the RRoD pumpkin (especially because it red rings in the dark!) and Alyssa’s was The Song of Time because it brought back fond memories of playing Ocarina of Time on the N64.
For second place the happy couple will be receiving a 16″x 20″ Halolz Poster (v1.1), five Wolf stickers, an Accordion Hero T-Shirt, and a Ninja-Bot shirt of their choice! Hey that works out perfectly… one shirt for each of them!

At first I had trouble seeing it… but now I can’t unsee it! >__<
Either way, you have to give him props for recreating his earlier submission in pumpkin form! That’s dedication!
For third place Paulrus will be recieving a 16″x 20″ Halolz Poster (actually he’ll be getting the newly updated version 1.1 which is not yet online!) and five Wolf stickers! Nice job!
