[NEWS] Anime USA 2009

Oops, almost forgot to mention that we’ll be at Anime USA this weekend in Arlington, Virginia! Looks like my last convention of the year… which honestly is kind of a nice feeling, as I’ve done quite a few shows this year!

But anyway, I will be in the guest area (although I’m not actually a guest, go figure!) which is by the front entrance to the dealers room. If you feel like stopping by to [say hello] / [tell me how cool I am] / [make fun of me for not working on Staccato] I will be there… along with my usual pile of Ninja-Bot miscellany for you to browse through!

Oh and speaking of Ninja-Bot, there should be a new version of the site up later today (for those interested in such things!) May even be some new items there that may interest some of you holiday shoppers! Just sayin’!

Also I mentioned it on the Halolz Twitter already, but a small site upgrade… we’ve added a new Facebook button to posts which makes it super quick and easy to share your favorite submissions with all your friends on Facebook. Also it has a cool little counter which tells you how many people have shared it on there as well (which I really like). Be sure to check it out!

[NEWS] GameX 2009

Another video game convention? In Philly?? What’s up with all these gaming conventions in Philly?! I have no idea!

Well anyway I’m going to be at GameX this weekend. I didn’t really want to make a big deal out of it because, well, lets face it… if you live in the Philadelphia area you’ve had like, A MILLION chances to come see us in the last two months. But I guess if you were like, out of town during that whole time and have a hankerin’ for some video games… you should probably swing by GameX and keep me company! We can talk about pumpkins, cider, or anything else seasonal that strikes your fancy! Whee!

[NEWS] VGXPO 2009

Hey everyone! We’re heading back to Philly this weekend for another video game show! This one is called VGXPO (Video Games Expo) and it looks like a pretty big event… even Nintendo has a booth there! (Hopefully they won’t notice our new Two Girls, One-Up shirt! >_>)

So if you crazy Pennsylvanians are looking to kill some time
this weekend, be sure to stop by! We’ll have lots of the usual goodies along with a new semi-secret Halolz t-shirt! And Alyssa will be there as well with her bead magnets from RedPepperHead! You can’t lose!

[NEWS] New York Anime Festival 2009

Do you like the animes? Yeah… I think you do! Well did you know this weekend there is a whole festival dedicated to animes? There is! And it’s in New York City no less! AND I will be there! AAAAND I’m gonna have a brand new Halolz shirt design! Man crazy, right? You should like, go to it this weekend and check it out!

[NEWS] Game Core 2009

[NEWS] PAX 2009 Cancelation

So just a quick update, I never really mentioned officially that I was going… but either way, I wanted to let everyone on the site know I will NOT be at PAX next weekend.

I was all set to go with the flights and badge and everything, but I guess after last week I’ve been a little burnt out and in a weird mood and I just don’t feel like flying across the country to hang out at another gaming convention. It would’ve been cool having a Halolz meet-up and doing a “non-work” con, but in the end I decided the trip was a bit pricey and I’d rather work on stuff around here.

So yeah just wanted to let everyone know about that! Hope everyone going has a good time! And hopefully next year I can plan things out for PAX a little better!

[NEWS] Game Unicon 2009

It’s time for some convention madness again, as I get ready for Game Unicorn 2009! Wait, unicorn? No I meant Unicon! I don’t know what a unicon is exactly, but I do know that it’s a video gaming convention outside of Boston, and that’s good enough for me!

Be sure to swing by if you want to play some vidjeo games, and also check out some of the cool bands performing (including two of my personal favorites Freezepop and The Megas!) And of course I’ll be there too, with my mountain of stuff and my new t-shirt design (which I haven’t even officially announced on the site but everyone knows it exists and is up for preorder since I stuck a giant banner about it on the side of the site!)
