It was nice of them to let the Scout use the frying pan but...

It’s nice when Valve lets more classes equip an existing weapon, but they may want to at least test it out on each class first!

    Welcom to the Demoman's world.

  2. Ultamia on May 7th, 2012 5:24 pm

What I want to know is what's up with the way we hold the frying pan now.
It looks like the Demo is trying to kill people with fanciness.

  3. CapnJakeBob on May 7th, 2012 5:25 pm

They managed to break an existing weapon for one thing…

Another thing that happened is that me and a bunch of Scouts grouped up and started panning everything.

I think one person went deaf.

Talk about out of the frying pan and into your field of vision

  5. Dedtarget on May 7th, 2012 5:26 pm

Duh, it doubles as a shield….to the face….

  6. Zwiggan on May 7th, 2012 5:26 pm

Can you imagine the Demoman with his left side of his vision gone, and then a giant pan on the right side

  7. Dash12345678 on May 7th, 2012 5:27 pm

This. Plus, most of the classes that are newly able to use the Frying Pan look like they've barely got a grip on the thing, like they're purposely grabbing as little of the handle as possible.

If Scout has the frying pan who is making breakfast for Spy?

  9. RespectfulGlove on May 7th, 2012 5:29 pm

Frankly I'm less concerned about the field of vision blockage and more about how loud that thing is with a Scout.

So on that note, whose ears have bled from trade servers full of those, anyway?

This just in: New weapon usage in TF2; universally panned by critics.

What kind of pansy needs things out of his eyes to see?

  12. Geebs on May 7th, 2012 5:45 pm

    I'm pan-sided.

  13. Hyze on May 7th, 2012 5:54 pm

At the end of the day, despite our advances in firearms, ordinance, and sentry turrets, nothing in TF2 is quite as satisfying as making an omelet out of someone's cerebral fluids.

  14. StompyChar on May 7th, 2012 6:00 pm

It doesn't matter if you see or not, wherever you swing that thing you are bound to hit something with a loud CLANG!
If its not the enemy hit directly they'll surely die of their eardrums exploding.

    In other words. OverPowered Hurpadurp!

  15. SpazTzu on May 7th, 2012 6:02 pm

I'm less concerned about your field of vision with the thing, than how you hold it.

It seems to me that Valve needs to test these things more thoroughly first…

  16. poonstev on May 7th, 2012 6:07 pm

That's not a frying pan, he just broke the mirror.

  17. HughbertEsq on May 7th, 2012 6:15 pm

    Disregard 20/20 vision
    Acquire Pancakes

"In the kingdom of the 2 eyes, the one-eyed man is the annoying, yelling, black, Scottish cyclops who will earn the scorn of his fellow man ten times over."

    Sun Tsu said that.

Of course I wouldn't see shit either with those words in the way.

  20. Vabolo on May 7th, 2012 9:12 pm

Frying Pan + Connoisseur's Cap + any flamethrower = Pyro Chef

All we need now is an apron!

  21. Trainer_Black on May 7th, 2012 9:55 pm

TF2 now consist of only the following sound effects.

    'EY DOC

  22. LinkorZelda on May 7th, 2012 10:09 pm

I don't want to see shit, that would be gross.

  23. Shalashaska on May 7th, 2012 10:18 pm

It won't matter when you're running, holding the attack button, and spamming x+5! :D

  24. Restam111 on May 7th, 2012 11:14 pm

ultamate ear rape during setup with scout

i think a slight increase of frying pans being traded will commence

  25. Draz on May 8th, 2012 3:53 am

    Well, that's really…
pan in the ass, isn't it…

  26. vash_ts on May 8th, 2012 9:19 am

Because that thing is useful only against zombies…
    or disney villains

  27. AntiObvious on May 8th, 2012 12:00 pm

I can clearly see the problem. The frying pan isn't big enough, I can still see the background.

  28. Nathan on May 8th, 2012 4:49 pm

You do know that field of veiw can be adjusted right??

  29. CapnJakeBob on May 9th, 2012 3:58 am

Consider this: The pan is in your field of vision, unless you swing rapidly.

Valve is TRYING to kill us.

  30. Hoers on May 10th, 2012 12:20 am

    OP is from Reddit.

  31. Dash12345678 on May 18th, 2012 6:41 pm

    It's fixed now, moving along.
