I crossed a F2Per who was on the other team earlier today in 2Fort, he was trying to play Spy with the Dead Ringer, yet didn't know how to get him to turn invisble. I told him to engage the cloaking device when he knew he would soon be fired upon by the opposing team, thus feigning death and turning invisible.
Needless to say, I soon regretted giving him some pointers.

I got a capture as a heavy as well, except I didn’t have the Diciplinary Action used on me. On my entire run back to make the winning capture, only one person shot at me.

While your argument is a logical one, Spelling is an integral part of grammar for grammar cannot exist without words. Also, the appropriate use of the grammar hammer is when the sentence structure of words follows an invalid array.
The same holds true when someone means to type “I liked the concert” but instead types “I licked the concert”. Because the word “licked” is spelled correctly, the mistake defaults to a grammar error when read by a third party. The author knows the intent and may consider it a spelling mistake, but to a reader who can only guess at the meaning based on context, it is a grammar issue.
If tl:dr, then you simply misused the Grammar Hammer invalidly whereas a spelling correction would have done a better job.
