    …but the crowd always hissed him off stage and all the venues wound up mysteriously destroyed soon after.

    Shawn knows that my computer takes forever to load anything higher then 360p, so he makes sure any YT vids he posts here have a high def version with he defaults the embedded player to play, causing me to sit and wait before realizing that i need to change the quality.

    I mad.

    I'm afraid you haven't nailed it yet. Something just feels… off; didn't like it. Sadly, I'm in no position to formally judge you on your singing abilities other than a "hay" or "nay", and all I can say is that it still needs improvement. Perhaps try not mimicking the original singer? Additionally, the telltale signs of the song's original vocals; something that could've been dealt with better than simply adding "sssss" and hoping for the best.

    I honestly wish I can give you better advice than that.

    I actually didn't mind it; it was definitely better than the first one.

    Of course, I've never heard "Don't Fear the Reaper" and have no desire to, so I can't compare to the original song.

    Well, it was better. What made the original Blue Oyster Cult song a hit was how well everything flowed together, making it a very mellow tune when it needed to be. The vocals weren't all that bad in this one (despite a lot of comments here), but make the singing quieter and blended in with the music so it doesn't stick out so much.

    Hey looks like someone found the 2-5 person harmony effect in…I'm gonna say Cool Edit because at least Pro Tools sounds slightly believable.

    How can he call this the new and improved version when all he was adding was the voice and he couldn't even level balance? Did it even occur to you that adding a single sound effect to a recording MIGHT not sound like a real harmony? Why don't you try recording yourself at different octaves and then if you can't sing all the parts of the harmony then add maybe a two person harmony to ONE of your octaves. Instead you make it sound like you're rolling your face on a synthesizer on full blast. Take one lesson in Pro Tools and you'll know the mystical art of level balancing…

    They are slow on the tempo. They lag on their pickups because they're not approaching the notes before the beat but on the beat. But yeah, they also need to be much softer on their balance too, the singers blended with the music instead of trumping it. So yeah, have to agree with you there. Without those elements, the song is just creepy.

    …DAMMIT, I said I'd stop doing that! But no, really, my points remain.
