Okay, the first couple were good for a few chuckles, but it's getting fucking old now. It's bad enough I have to deal with this attitude elsewhere on the Internet, I don't really need it infesting the ONE place where I'm always guaranteed to enjoy myself with TF2.

No, seriously. I'm tired of all the TF2 bashing that's been going on as well. YES, you can buy items that impact your game, NO, they are NOT exclusive, and NO, they do not make you a better player. The same with hats. YES, you can find hats. YES, you can buy and trade hats. Do they impact the people who choose not to use them? NO. What I think valve is trying to do with this huge glut of items and customization is mould tf2 into as much of a singleplayer experience as a team one. My vision is, eventually, people will be able to choose the loadout that fits their personal style, not the situation, and still benefits the team. For example: I'm an engie with all defaults. We've been pushed back to the final point on dustbowl and the other team is bombarding us with rockets from just outside sentry range. Before, the only choice you really had was to tough it out, (nearly impossible with more then 2 soldiers), change class, or use the wrangler to pick them off. Now, you can try to sneak behind the enemy lines with the Gunslinger or Jag and quick-build a sentry in the other team's flank. Or, if you're feeling badass, you can roll combat engie with the FJ and the Hospitality. (Don't laugh, i've been killed more then once by a pissed off texan with a full revenge-crit meter). Anyway, my point is, instead of bitching about the influx of new content, we should praise it. And I found a Safe'n'Sound yesterday after weeks of wishing, so I can't really complain.
tl;dr:
Play TF2 your way with your loadout, stop bitching.
You're missing out on the Saxton Hale boss battles and Warioware+TF2 mixes, but whatever, your choice.

i have it on both. Best times Ive had in the game are on the 360 version most definitely, but i do love the variable weapons in the comp version. and not to mention the hats :)
