just to clear up what may be happening with the whole E-peen epidemic. it seems that many of our old posts are being -1'd. it has less effect on those who have earned their high epeens over time, and more effect on those that have gained their epeen with one massive joke. I have already found that I have been -1'd many times on the "cloudbush" post, and will continue my investigation in search of major sources of -1.
We've driven them out of Halolz by outnumbering them. We can do it again.

i would like to point out 121 to 18 just because of a few -1's is not right any way you put it, nothing of mine shows less than +1, (sorry to sound like a crying baby)
My theory on the e-peen apocalypse:
IntenseDebate simply changed how the rep scores are calculated. As shown by chetoos and masashi, rep scores can skyrocket with a low number of comments and one insanely high-rated one.
ID probably changed it so that you need to make more comments to get a higher score, which is why those of us with higher rep scores and more comments (Alpar, Dai, myself) remained largely unaffected, while those with high rep scores and fewer comments (such as masashi98) had their rep scores, for lack of a better word, raped.
That actually makes a bit of sense.

Found something that looks relevant. I looked over my comments and found on some pages, there was "cloned" commentor (one without an E-peen, seemed to be treated as an anonymous poster judging by the +0 next to the name, and who was on the same page as the normal comment). One particular page had all commentors replaced with these clones.
It could be that ID fucked up royally and some of your higher scoring comments ended up getting hammered away rather than a troll.

But thats the thing…we're doing +1's like crazy but DAMN our scores aren't even being moved at an equal rate. I think I've literally got +75~+100 and for some reason, I can't find a difference in -'s that justifies how this doesn't jump-start my score back.

Not likely. I've browse old posts occasionally. Those comments are not trolls, they are ourselves. That happens to comments once they've been around too long (I can't quite remember how old a comment has to be, I think it's 100-120 weeks).
This is some horrible time paradox we seem to be stuck in. No matter how much we +1, the E-Peen stays the same. Madness! Madness, I say!!
So in other words, once you become too old a fogey, Your E-peen starts to droop, and you now need E-Viagra to get it up.
I wish I had one for real life, some people just need a ban from it as well…

But the thing is that it never caused harm to anyone's e-peen before. Also, I have not been here long enough for my comments to have sufered such a fate, yet my e-peen dropped as well (only by five points, though). I think Zyquux may be right about the e-peens.

I had a remarkably LOW drop in e.peen considering I've been here for, what, a week or something? Maybe two? And I only dropped 10 points. What's up with that?
Well, now that comment counts factors into our e-peens, you probably made a few comments that gathered a moderately large amount of +1's. I probably only have two pr three comments like that. Now that the e-peen system has been altered, the pace we have been building our e-peens at had given more protection from this update than those who earned 80 +1's on a single comment.
