I've just wondered what it would be like to travel by cannon after seeing this pic.
World 2-1 and World 3-2 are approximately 40 miles apart.
Luigi flies out of a cannon at an average speed of 80mph from World 2-1. Mario flies out of a cannon at an average speed of 60mph from World 3-2. How long would it take for them to brofist (or die horribly) if they left at the same time?

I got between 15-20 minutes.
After 15 mins:
At 80mph, Luigi would have travelled 20 miles.
At 60mph, Mario would have travelled 15 miles.
Total distance = 35 miles -- Too short.
After 20 mins:
At 80mph, Luigi would have travelled 26.67 miles (to 2dp)
At 60mph, Mario would have travelled 20 miles
Total distance = 46.67 miles -- Too much.
But that would be assuming they're travelling in a straight line, on a land borne trajectory, directly towards the other one's cannon. Presumably crashing through several goombas, koopas and hills with smiley faces on them.
Actually, now that I did the math, it's 17 minutes and… about 9 seconds.

Well Assuming these are real physics, Both Luigi and mario are Being fired at a 45∘angle Towards each other, Mario being fire at 80MPH and Luigi Being fired at 60 MPH Wind favoring Luigi at 10 MPH how long would it take for both Mario and Luigi to meet?
