Link can jump in Zelda II. He can also jump over small gaps in the 3D games and can jump off various ledges!

Nah. Mario vs. Link vs. Samus vs. Bill vs. Simon vs. Rock would be the ultimate showdown.
All of them vs. Bowser's minions is a slaughter.
Character analysis…
Mario: Same old Mario. Just like the good old days. Nothing else.
Link. His swords stop his enemies from moving which is quite useful. However, it's faster to kill his foe just jumping on them.
Bill: Quite weak from the start, but gets very powerfull. I recommend to play with him first and collect power ups.
Simon: Worst character in my opinion. His whip needs to be timed. It can't be angled. His axe is an ok projectile, but not powerfull. His whip does stop his foe, so it does help. I recommend to play him at the start to get some power ups.
Mega Man: Best character to do some speed run. His shots go through the walls and his attacks are very good agains Bowser. Most recommened character.
Samus: Her start is bad. Her shots are very short. The good news is her shot does stop her foes to move. The bomb is quite useless unless if you want to dig through into some bricks. Her powers become strong if she collects all power ups.
Overall, one of the best flash ever!

That's all well and good, but this isn't Zelda II, is it? This sprite was taken from the original game, where there was nothing to jump off of. The player couldn't make him jump, either, so how is it he can jump now? I have you under the Lens, now I want the truth!
