Actually, it wouldn't make sense for him to have 1.5 soul. If he did, then that means that you have 1 soul if you rated 4 stars. BUT, since you have a soul when you rate 5 stars, yet no soul when you rate 4 stars, therefore, when you rate 6 stars, you actually remain with this 1 soul, until you reach 10, where you have 2 souls.

Epic video is epic. I like how smooth it is, compared to most of the TF2 machinimas out there
I don't think that's the point. It's funny in it's sheer awesomeness, not in it's value to actually make you laugh out loud.

Thing is, this particular submission is less about the lulz, and more about the masterful vid-work here. I mean honestly, each character model fits in smoothly with the film footage. As far as I can see, all the work done here is pretty well flawless and deserving of recognition.
Funny? No, not really, I'll give you that.
But this is still one primo vid.

This is haLOLZ though. I mean I'm sure this took forever to make and the author has some skill in it. But he missed the comedic moments and the only thing tf2 about it was just him copy pasting the characters (shouldn't it have been the scout hitting him on the head with a bat?).

Any game can have good submissions. However, the quality of the video in general depends on this theoretical law:
As the simplicity to create screenshots in a game increases, the amount of bad submissions increases concurrently.
In a cosmic sort of way, it could be funny.

I see what your saying, but at the end of the day, but this is part of the evolutionary process of a website. You see it in stores as well. A name doesn't dictate what content is going to be shown or sold, it's only a general basis.
But apart from that, I don't think you realise how much trouble he went to to make this. It wasn't just a matter of copying and pasting -- he in fact went and self animated all of the characters themselves. It's a long process and copy/pasting for this kind of thing is an very, very extreme understatement.
At the end of the day though, point taken, and I don't mean any hostility towards you. I think that the video is awesomesauce, and Halolz is pretty awesomesauce, so it's certainly at home here!

As others have stated, it's not how funny this is, but merely how well-done the animations of the TF2 characters were done to be put in-place-of the original actors (leaving in the voices as well too). In normal G-Mod and many animation programs, mouth-movement and expressions you saw would be nearly impossible. It would take a lot of effort and patience to get it that close.
The reason why many (including myself) feel that this is a masterpiece of the Halolz art is that this person showed that they had the skill and patience to get such a cross-over to look good.
Being a major in Multimedia, I look at this wonderful piece of well-constructed work and I give my utmost satisfaction in the form of a standing ovation. Well done, OneMoreUser.

Don't know if you've played TF2 or not, but this video is certainly esoteric in a way that you can only truly appreciate it having played TF2.
Man I've played tf2 and that's exactly why I DON'T like it.
This video had the ability to make some funny class based jokes but all it did was put in the characters (Which I fully understand was a hard job).
Seriously, they could've replaced them with Nintendo characters, or anything else with a high enough fanbase, and nothing of importance would be lost.
