Anyway, I’ve seen this before, and it only got a mild chuckle out of me. It could be because I find little to nothing about Gyarados frightening.
I always use Gyarados on my team. Sure, he sucks against electric, but he’s one helluva beast.

I send a level 14 fire Pokemon agenst Gyarados and the fire comes out without a scratch on it. Gyarados is like one of the most pathetic Pokemon on the face of the planet. I am so a nerd. T.T 5/5

Gyarados isn’t that horrible if you can IV it for max attack and have an Attack Nature. Next you EV train its Attack and Speed. Then just have it learn Dragon Dance+Earthquake. Friggin RAPE.

C’mon. Sure, Gyrados isn’t a Legendary, but he’s very good and can kick butt. Not only that, but it’s even funnier because Magicarp is THE worst Pokemon (game-wise, at least).

Actually, Gyrados can be effective against Electric types if you teach it Ice Beam. Give that electrical rat a little hypothermia, eh? It should work if it's a 1-shot kill. Otherwise, prepare to be FRIED by Thunder. I wouldn't really say I'm a Pokenerd, but I do remember the old pokemon games.

unless there's a level difference and the electric one was dual-typed, ice beam would do just regular damage to an electric. sorry i am a pokenerd, had to put in whatever knowledge i can when i can
