If it was trying humor by suggesting that the victims of the second collision were idiots for going back in or just yelling “Lots of people died horribly!”, it might be something else. And that’s even before you factor in how exaggerated 9/11 is in comparison to other crises like hurricanes and the Witch Hunts/Inquisition due to its recent occurance and effects on the modern world. Monty Python never had to put up with this, and his subject matter threw torture in. There’s really no reason to disparage others for not finding it offensive…

2. The Chinpokomon episode, where they were planning on bombing Pearl Harbor again.

How the fuck are you supposed to have a happy anything if you can’t laugh and make jokes at/about the dark, sad, horrible, depressing, and unfortunate things in life? I laugh at everything. It’s a huge part of how I cope. I learned to laugh when my sister passed away when I was too young to remember how old either of us were. I laughed when my parents divorced when I was still a kid. I laughed when a very old friend killed himself. I laughed when my cousin was killed by the hanta virus. And I’ve laughed at everything else, big and small.
I’ve barely had any hardships in my life, but even those couple of things would have been enough to crush my spirit if it weren’t for laughter and jokes like this that everyone condemns. The sad, pathetic truth is that I might have given up on life entirely by now and killed myself if I hadn’t learned to jest.
So, Mr./Mrs./Ms. Dr Lime, etc.. You don’t have to laugh at jokes like these, but I kindly ask you not to tell us we should be ashamed of ourselves, question our audacity/morality at posting/laughing at stuff like this, etc. like we’re doing something wrong. Different people cope in different ways. I’m not judging you for not laughing at stuff like this and I’d kindly ask you not to judge us for looking at things differently. On that note…
