The power of the sun…

Joel Hohenhaus also had a Dragonball reference for this, but to me it looks more like Naruto’s Rasengan.

    Glad to see the troll bait is working.
    I have no idea what the picture is a reference to, as it makes my eyes bleed when I look upon it.

    It’s actually a Doctor Octopus quote, which he says in the theatrical movie ‘Spider-Man 2’.

    Actually, I think this IS a Boktai reference, since “the sun is in your hand” was its motto, but it’s debateable….

    For those who don’t know what Boktai is, it’s a GBA game in which the cartridge had a UV sensor in it. If you played in the sunlight, you’d get extra benefits (infinite energy, enemies are easier, etc.) If you’re wondering why the sun gave you benefits, it’s because the enemies are vampires.

    That is all.

    I remember reading about that game but I never did try it. I always loved crazy shit like that on Gameboy games!

  12. Boreas on October 23rd, 2007 3:32 pm

    @Shawn:
    You can buy both games for dirt cheap now… Although I prefer the second one… In the first one, you couldn’t do much until you defeated the first Vampire (Which I never got around to doing… I lost the game), but the second game is much less linear… The only problem with the game is: The sun is a b*tch. I’ve tried to sit outside to get sunlight, and I’ll wind up with major glare, which usually stops me from playing… Of course, you can sit inside, by a window, but the effect isn’t that… uhh… effective.

    Today Is a Great Bok-tai day.
    Gotta love that game. I beat the first one…but kept getting stuck on the second. Spotted that reference as soon as I saw it.
