I can appreciate that you waited until the timer was at 126, but get off that flag pole.

Shame on you mario! That flag is at an approximate 45 degree and you still didn't get high enough for a 1UP? Shame!

"Boys, aren't we at war with Italy?"

    "KILL HIM!"

… It's a safe bet that the princess is not in this castle either.

How in the name of buggering Lumas did he get on there like that?

  6. RespectfulGlove on November 14th, 2012 5:32 pm

Don't you know? This is how all the flags are set up by Bowser's troops. Mario just happened to be a little bit early…

    …A little II early…

Yea, this is really stupid and offensive.
Why would Halolz think it would be a good idea to put a Japanese character in the same frame with guys who earlier were killing Japanese soldiers.
And even better, Mario is bringing down the flag while the Americans are raising it. So American GIs are evil minions and Mario is liberating the island from them?
And so soon after Veterans day of all things.

Hey Halolz, how about having a picture of Mario lowering a flag to half mast after the Aurora, Colorado shooting?
Or even better, a picture of Chikao Yasuno with a Mario face while Leonard Siffleet makes a joke about needing a 1UP?

  8. Hyze on November 14th, 2012 6:28 pm

Well it's not the worse thing that could have been put on the pole.

  9. Trunks on November 14th, 2012 8:05 pm

I hope you know I'm kidding. There is a threshold for when it's okay to joke about something, and aurora's still far too soon.

Iwo Jima is fair game, though.

Professor Oak: "Mario! This isn't the time to use that!"

All I can imagine is some sort of strange cross over of the original call of duty and mario.

    Those aren't fireworks… are they?

    Seems legit.

    None of you understand
he didn't wan that 1-UP for himself, he needed it for his buddy lying on the beach with his guts spilling out….
Mama Mia…. the pasta….. Luigi never liked ravioli …..

I guess mario is still shell shocked from the previous battle.

    Go home Mario…you are drunk.

  18. dragonKind72 on November 17th, 2012 6:44 pm

I figured something like this was bound to happen. I just didn't know they'd use the Iwo Jima picture.
