Ah… that’s how that happens. Oak never mentioned his degree in molecular biology and particle physics!

So, wait. Does that mean that pokemon are really just small animals?
Wonder what the scale to a regular person is then…

  2. Chimental on January 2nd, 2012 12:38 pm

Well that explains the foot long rats and giant bugs.

So in Pokémon, mountains literally are mole hills.

  6. sims796 on January 2nd, 2012 1:08 pm

    Dammit honey, it happened AGAIN!

  7. Skrist on January 2nd, 2012 1:24 pm

Knows how to shrink little children: doesn't know if they are a boy or girl.

  8. Wetmang on January 2nd, 2012 1:46 pm

Sooo, one of the starting trainers is a midget?

  9. Mindlessinvalid on January 2nd, 2012 1:54 pm

This probably explains why the world of pokemon is disturbingly devoid of people (Think about the population of their largest city) and that the geography is so damned strange.
The Kanto region isn't really the REAL Kanto region, it's a geography diorama in a shipping box labeled Kanto (because that's a real annexation in japan.)

The world of pokemon is just a really elaborate and fucked up ant farm run by a genetic engineering major with a shrink ray.

    Now everything makes sense,
    Forever.

(can someone please embed that image for me? I can't HTML).

  11. PANKAKES on January 2nd, 2012 2:18 pm

    The site broke again. X(

  12. Redzeroine on January 2nd, 2012 2:27 pm

Mother of god…If you really think about it, Oak would have had to shrunk every person on the planet while leaving the pokemon trainers for last.

  13. TheInsaneWombat on January 2nd, 2012 2:38 pm

I don't think that shrink rays involve biology…

    And relevant: (Also Homestuck)

"We're now a quarter of an inch tall, and 64 feet from the house. That's an equivalent of three-point-two mountains. That's a long way. Even for a man of poke-science"

  19. PortalMan118 on January 2nd, 2012 6:47 pm

Sorry but i don't think we need another pokemon movie.

Instead, how about Yugioh Abriged: CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES the movie.

  20. HughbertEsq on January 2nd, 2012 8:04 pm

It seems that this has a similar effect on the Earthbound universe too.

  21. Drjolt on January 2nd, 2012 9:00 pm

Now lets see, are you 2 centimeters or 3 centimeters long?

  22. BTSnoogans on January 3rd, 2012 12:58 am

So is the trainer in the middle younger or shorter than the rest? I mean, I'll laugh at him either way. I just want to know why I'm laughing at him.
