Awesome! Now if someone could just fill this Minecraft server full of actual Pocket Monsters I could finally live out my Pokemon MMO fantasies.

    Creeper used Self-Destruct!
    It was Super-Effective!

  2. Xalden on November 12th, 2010 11:54 pm

There's a point where you have to say "You know what? I have waaay too much time on my hands. maybe I should go outside"

You immediatly go back to mincraft, though

  3. Lordshadow on November 12th, 2010 11:55 pm

Somehow, Mt. Moon lost something for not being ambushed by a bat every 2 steps.

  4. Tael on November 13th, 2010 12:03 am

Minecraft: now with free health care!

  5. Dumblederp on November 13th, 2010 12:06 am

Dang, this guy deserves one-thousand internets. And a life supply of whores.

Unrelated: Today, I thought of the best house ever. Make it out of diamonds? Nah, been done to death. Make it out of leaves? Nah, too annoying to grow.

Why not build it out of destruction itself? The bodies of my mortal enemy would make a fine building material indeed. I tried to make a house out of creepers. Two rows of glass blocks that I lured creepers into one at a time arranged in this pattern:

Closed end -> |_-_-_-_ <-- Open end (Fill when finished with wall)

Every Creeper would fill up one slot, done by raising every other creeper up one block and then placing glass so they could not jump onto or fall down into the space beside them. I was sad to find out due to the Creeper AI and despawning, I was not able to accomplish my task. If Notch or a modder ever implements the ability to make a mob stay permanently, I shall try again to complete my ultimate house.

Why are green and purple the same, asides from a dash?

  8. 400_Babies on November 13th, 2010 12:47 am

Anyone who makes an mp3 of this song gets as many thumbs up as I can give them. And cookies. SO MUCH NONSTALGIA. Now i need to find my GB and play my old Japanese copy of Blue…

  9. FoxyMayo on November 13th, 2010 12:48 am

Now watch Kanto be reduced to a smoking pile of rubble when our Trainer hero stumbles upon the Creeper spawns.

  10. Gamage on November 13th, 2010 12:49 am

Was anyone else disappointed when there was no snorlax?

  11. smartmonkey on November 13th, 2010 12:50 am

Lavendar town'll be a bitch with all them zombies and skeletons.

  13. Annonith on November 13th, 2010 2:06 am

    A wild CREEPER appeared!
    PLAYER tried to run away!
    It's not very effective…
    CREEPER used EXPLOSION!
CREEPER destroyed your house, killed you and everybody you love.

…suddenly I think that PokeCraft is not such a good idea.

  14. KamikazeGible on November 13th, 2010 2:09 am

This must have taken hours upon countless hours to build. For that, I congratulate the builders, then I ridicule them for having no life.

  15. BabyfaceBenny on November 13th, 2010 2:12 am

Dude… is there any way to download this?!

  16. Mentlegen on November 13th, 2010 2:12 am

Are you a Block or a Girl?

  17. Ryu_Bonkosi on November 13th, 2010 3:05 am

My inner CDO is crying with joy at such attention to detail.

  18. bastardsweater on November 13th, 2010 3:29 am

Someone has to make a mod or SOMETHING so we can have pokemon in there.
    MAKE IT HAPPEN INTERWEBS.

  19. Tael on November 13th, 2010 3:37 am

And I thought the SSSSSSSSSSSS when my game broke was static…
    DAMN YOU CREEPER!

  20. Rocker23220 on November 13th, 2010 3:58 am

pokemon MMO fantasies. everyone has them.

  22. Taiho on November 13th, 2010 5:20 am

They used smalls trees for tall grass, so what did they use for small trees?

  23. ZegenRuki on November 13th, 2010 8:14 am

Nice to know Minecraft is more humiliating than being a level 80 paladin now.

  24. chetoos8 on November 13th, 2010 8:18 am

I have two things to say: one: this is so accurate, it is scary
two: now go make johto and the sevii islands

  25. Alpar on November 13th, 2010 9:16 am

You spend hours upon hours, day upon days, month begetting month, and you finally create the Kanto region in Minecraft with perfection. Not a single flaw to be seen. However it's not like you could craft any Pokemon, because that'd be wasting your life more than you already have. You record a video, feeling proud of yourself. Before posting your video, you watch it again and realize there's no Snorlax. While on the other hand, there are no other Pokemon either, but you feel the urge to put the Snorlax in front of Diglett's Cave, since he was just that neccesary. You delete your video and go back to playing Minecraft so you can insert something in place for Snorlax. But you know who pops out of the blue and ruins all your hard work?

    CREEPER MOTHERSSSSSSSSSSSSSING OAK.

  26. Pringer X on November 13th, 2010 9:17 am

This would probably make an awesome adventure map once that mode gets put in.

  27. Pringer X on November 13th, 2010 9:22 am

    Awesome.

Now ChronoSquare should get to work on adding on the Johto region to that.

  28. Grammar Nazi Ghost on November 13th, 2010 9:29 am

I didn't even need to watch this to give it five stars.

But now I did and I wish I could give it six.

  29. TehVortex on November 13th, 2010 9:44 am

At first, I saw this post as a Minecraft submission I finally feel comfortable enough to comment on (seeing as I don't play).
After watching that video, I'm now thoroughly convinced I have to get involved in this fantastic new world of possibility and wonder, and excel at it, above and beyond others…or to put it another way…

I want to be the very best, like no-one ever was.

  30. IndigoVitare on November 13th, 2010 11:27 am

I fear there's been some lack of information here.

I urge everyone to go to the video's Youtube page, but in short, the Pokecraft Project is a group build. ChronoSquare did not do all of that himself. I realise now that the video lacks this information. It also doesn't mention the server, which can be found under "Bidoof_King's Playhouse" in Classic Multiplayer.

  31. TheAceOfSkulls on November 13th, 2010 11:54 am

Wow… Pacman's eating his competition again. What have I told people about leaving him out of pie charts?!

  32. shadow649 on November 13th, 2010 3:18 pm

That… may be the best thing I have seen in all my life. I bow down to the higher power. Needs moar minekips! :P

Waaaaaiiiiiit were those multi level dungeons at the end? HOLY DAMN!

  33. BackwardsSneeky on November 13th, 2010 4:19 pm

If that's the case, then how come the side of my master cave fortress doesn't explode into 126 blocks of the 6th item on my bar?

  34. BackwardsSneeky on November 13th, 2010 4:26 pm

I have to admit, that looks pretty fucking awesome. If it had pokemon running around I think I would've had a nerdgasm in the first five seconds of the video. Y'know, as opposed to having it in the first ten seconds.

  35. Spartan_Laser on November 13th, 2010 8:32 pm

    E.P.I.C!!!

  36. Kam_Fakami on November 13th, 2010 11:07 pm

The only thing I have to say is the Kanto is a grassland, so there are too many mountains. Other than that, this was badass. Also, need links to music in vid.

  37. KitchwaTembo on November 13th, 2010 11:21 pm

It's so beautiful… Now set it on fire!

  38. Grammar Nazi Ghost on November 13th, 2010 11:50 pm

THAT'S RIDICULOUS! Everybody knows that being grammatically uptight is a huge turn on to chicks!

Grammar Nazis get all the bitches!

    GRIEFER used UNBUILD!
    It's SUPER EFFECTIVE!

  42. XPengooX64 on November 14th, 2010 3:23 pm

That was the single best 5 minutes of my life.
My pitiful little MineCrap world seems so… failtacular.

  45. NOPEngie on February 10th, 2011 8:33 pm

Frankly, it [the map] didn't look too exciting, but would be fun to explore.besides, like Kam said kanto is a grassland if there's no grass how are you going to find many pokemon in there?

We want YOU [to build more epic maps]!
