I don't know, this version of the inside story seems a lot more disturbing.

Don't worry Mario, there won't be any stomach acid or crushing digestive tracts in there, Bowser's insides were designed by Nintendo! At worst you'll find a giant tapeworm with googly eyes and a fairly obvious weakpoint.
(I've always loved "You're inside something's guts" moments in video games. Jabu Jabu's belly, the wierd fleshy robot shark in Banjo-Kazooie, being eaten by that whale for no reason in Super Monkey Ball 2… )
