Since the original Sonic cartoon (with Scratch and Grounder) was somewhere between the first two panels, it would have clinched a five if this had Robotnik (NOT EGGMAN) declaring "PINGAS." Just my opinion, though.
The truth is sad. I stand by my statement concerning the necessity of a Sonic 3 & Knuckles remake to kick SEGA's asses back into gear. Same game with a graphics upgrade, tweak some of the more annoying levels, and maybe some unlockable stuff? Voices acceptable but highly unnecessary.

Sonic was just finished defeating eggman and saving teh little creatures. Over the years and more adventures later, he gained friends, but then that's when it got out of hand. Sonic and his friends were running all together, having fun racing in a peaceful meadow, AND DEN WOLF JUMPED AND WAS ALL LIKE "CANT LET YOU HAS TEH BLOODY PEACE, STAR HOG" AND THEN HE THREW MORE CHARACTERS IN AND THEY WERE ALL LIKE "CASFXASFGVDFGCVRFGS HAIL WOLF" AND THEN THE ORIGINAL SONIC CHARACTERS WERE ALL LIKE "OMFG WTF!!!???"

Honestly, it should have stopped at Sonic, Robotnik, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Metal Sonic
Sonic = Hero
Tails = Wannabe sidekick / idolizing kid
Amy = Love interest
Knuckles = Prideful / Jelous antihero
Robotnik = Main Villain
Metal Sonic = Villain second in command
Why does everybody like the sonic series? There were only what, four good games out of the fifty?

the reason I find the comics so incredible is because it seems to be aging with the audience
there are more enemies than just robotnik, and robotnik is INTENSE in the comics
and the characters are so much cooler

I've seen this plenty of times before and thought it was perfect.
You know what: Frak you guys. I'm a sonic freak, and I think that Sonic can come back, but Sega just doesn't understand how. They also don't need to make sonic come back. The pure fact that he is in a game makes him profit off of the die hard fans like me. Mind you, I also hated Sonic Riders, SATSR, and probably would hate Mario + Sonic at the Olympics. But The were-hog stages -- despite being slow and misnamed -- were fun. I was brought on to Sonic before I had a game console, through the Archie comics, and they rock. Go read a few of those: not only do they have all the video game characters, but then some more, and they work great. Sonic just needs to do stuff like that. So Frak you, frak you all.
I think Omega was watching the Hercules and the Moon Men episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 before this comic, and immediately remembered the Pants Musical skit.
And this is where Sega went wrong. You don't have to introduce new characters to EVERY sonic game…Sheesh!
