Just got Star Fox 64 on the virtual console the other day…Strange how that works eh? Play an 11 year old game, and then see a Halolz based off of it…

Gravatars. Type it into google or check the news archive and one of the news posts (the one before new editor) has a link there. Just insert your email, get confirmation, login on gravatar, and pick your gravatar! Even someone on the internetz can do it!

what part of “Peppy HARE” don’t u understand?
an besides, he gets annoying after the hundred millionth time you have played SF64.I have all medals in both normal and master difficulties, as well as unlocked the landmaster and pilot in Vs mode. I’ll tell ya, its not exactly fun anymore since I have nothing to work for, where as I would spend countless hours trying to get that ONE medal in my route.
quick FYI: to get pilot in Vs mode, where you can use Fox, Peppy, Falco, or--if you’re misfortunate enough--Slippy, go through one entire round (all 7 areas in one shot, from Cornelia to Venom) with all your teammates alive, for one, and get all medals in those areas. the easiest route for me was all the lower planets, but change course to that gray planet next to venom and the 2 sats. in that planet, SHOOT EVERYTHING, and when you come to the boss, shoot all the flags (they have numbers on their base). then hit the “switch” on the right. you will get an unheard of HIT+50. if you had 100 or more points before you got to the boss, and you did this, you’re good to go. then hit for the sat that looks like a top. as well as this one, SHOOT EVERYTHING. you need like 300-400 kills before you can get a medal. try to keep the hyper lasers at the end too, because Starwolf will come in after that in Venom, and, if you’re not careful, they will take care of the other 3 in ur team and do a 4 on 1 rape. trust me when I say that. Kill them fast enough, and they will give you the needed Hit+50 a piece, 4 for 204 total kills, an automatic medal. then follow through with Andross, wait for the credits to end, and claim ur seat in the high scores (you can get 1.3k total kills this way)
Just thought i would throw that out there to those with a copy of SF64. took me a while.

I know what you’re saying about replay value… Starfox 64 was my favorite game on the system, and I think I beat everything possible in it (including all medals).
Makes playing it on the Virtual Console kinda boring… I doubt I’ll ever be motivated enough to get as far as I did in the original…
