But seriously, until they make another game where you can have a match-up like MegaMan, The Hulk and Strider Hiryu vs Wolverine, Dr. Doom and Akuma… MvC2 will always be my favorite 2D fighter.

meh i prefer games where each character is unique and you could combo with elegacy. and guilty gear had a nice story to it and unique characters
Bitch, Super Gem Fighter wins for its simplicity. Take Street Fighter 3, throw in some Darkstalkers, and only 3 attack buttons

Nothing can compare to Super Smash Bros. That is the best fighting game ever made, easily.

ssb is good, but honestly its in a different catagory. seriously, double jump? i cant even think of a single fighting game (even sumo wresling, which is initialy what ssb IS ) that had a double jump
