"obligatory I'm tired of this meme comment"

  2. MoG on January 3rd, 2012 6:12 am

I used to enjoy the arrow in the knee meme,
Then it took an arrow in the knee.

ಠ_ಠ Yes you read that right.

  3. MeatyMcSausage on January 3rd, 2012 6:17 am

    I used to play Skyrim,
    Then my Christmas vacation ended.

  4. HughbertEsq on January 3rd, 2012 7:12 am

Well played video 1, well played indeed…..

Also, looking at the third video……. Is Dovahkiin actually Batman?

One last thing…. I used to enjoy joking about projectiles to leg joints… but then I took a foot to the groin.

  7. Ernac on January 3rd, 2012 9:36 am

So… Shaun is just now getting Arrow jokes out of his system?
I thought most of us did that a month ago.

  8. TheInsaneWombat on January 3rd, 2012 9:42 am

Holy shit I saw one of those before it was posted! :D

Also that top one was great.

  9. Comire on January 3rd, 2012 9:43 am

Remember when everyone used to hate the "Imma let you finish" meme?

    Neither do I.

Arrow to the Knee Three Pack? That sounds like a DLC deal from Hell.

  12. Leo E. on January 3rd, 2012 10:26 am

As much as I hate this meme, that second video was just hilarious.

  13. Dr.Panda on January 3rd, 2012 11:10 am

I wanted to make up my own joke, but then I mentioned an arrow to the knee. And then in real life I took an arrow to the head hopefully.

  14. Zeleas on January 3rd, 2012 11:13 am

So if an adventurer takes an arrow to the knee, he becomes a guard. But what does a guard become if he takes an arrow to the knee?

    Pissed off.

"Okay guys… lets get these things out of our system okay? No more sending in Arrow To The Knee videos! Seriously. We’ve got enough!"
Words cannot express how beautiful and truthful these words are.

It's about time that somebody took a stand against these arrow-to-the-knee jokes.
If only they still had two good legs to stand on…

  18. LinkorZelda on January 3rd, 2012 2:09 pm

    The guards crippling injury.

  19. TeapotKing on January 3rd, 2012 2:10 pm

I used to make arrow in the knee jokes, but then THE ENTIRE POPULATION OF THE INTERNET decided to mis-quote it as "arrow TO the knee", even though it's "Arrow IN the knee", GRRR. Rant over.

  20. SHODAK on January 3rd, 2012 2:27 pm

You know, if you'd posted that first vid by itself, it might have actually done alright. But no, you had to cripple it by stringing along those other two "Arrow to the knee" videos with it.

  21. Skrist on January 3rd, 2012 2:33 pm

Which begs the question… Why is this stupid thing more popular than the actual funny ones? Like "What's the matter, someone steal your sweet roll?" or J'zargo and his mystical third person talking ways.

  22. VJoe10[8] on January 3rd, 2012 2:52 pm

On a completely unrelated note, I'm almost at 69 e-peen after years of procrastinating!

  23. Ashton_Anchors on January 3rd, 2012 2:56 pm

I was starting to write a funny comment….but then I took an arrow to the knee

  24. Immortal_Mook on January 3rd, 2012 3:02 pm

    I respect the guards now.
I imagine it's all a well crafted joke:

*In the Town Guards Guild, a meeting is held*
HeadGuard: "Fellow guardsmen! This Bi-annual meeting is now in session. It has come to my attention that the Dragonborn has appeared.
This is uplifting news. He can finally save us from the Dragon scum and their Giant pets. I propose we should help him in whatever ordeal he faces.
Since he has only begun his adventure, he will have many questions to ask. However, we do not want to hold his hand everywhere he goes."

"Fellow Guardsmen! What should we do to help him in our own way?"

Guard Rep A(From the Region where the Dovalkin was first discovered): "From what we've gathered, the Dragonborn is very reckless, and does not care what happens to himself. I propose we give him advice on armor and protection, so that his chances of living will increase. We can also point him in the right direction."

Guard Rep B: "Isn't that just babying him?! He will never rid us of the Dragon menace if he's only as strong as any guardsmen here!"

Guard Rep C:"Then what do you suppose we do?"

Guard Rep B:"Leave him to his own devices. If he's the chosen one, he can defeat the dragons without our help"

Guard Rep A:"And just let him die?! That is a bad plan. He won't last the third day!"

Guard Rep B:"And babysitting is a good idea? I'll bring in the nursemaids…"

Guard Rep C"Now that was uncalled for!"

Guard Rep A, B and C bicker amongst each other while the HeadGuard tries to call for order.

When suddenly a loud scream rings out through the room, the three reps look to the corner and they see an old Guard clutching his Knee in pain.

    HeadGuard: "Your old injury again?"

Guard Rep D:"Yes, it comes and goes on it's own."

HeadGuard: "What is your view on this topic? Should we help the Dragonborn or leave him to his own devices?"

Guard Rep D: "I honestly do not know. Back when I was walking the earth, No Guard ever helped me with anything. I always had to fend for myself. Sooner or later I thought I understood what needed to be protected. By that time I was powerful and confident in my abilities.
But that was short-lived. While fighting off some bandits, I took an arrow to the knee. They escaped while I tended to the wound. I removed the arrow, but it was painful to walk. Sooner or later I couldn't go on adventures anymore. I wish someone told me that back then.."

    Head Guard:…

    Guard Rep A:…

    Guard Rep B:…

    Guard Rep C:… "I have a proposition."

HeardGuard:" Hm. Let us hear it."

Guard Rep C: "I propose we tell him what the OldGuard just said."

Guard Rep B: "What? That old story? He'll leave before we've told him half of it! I say-"

Guard Rep C: "No, not the whole thing. Just this sentence: "I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow to the knee.""

Guard Rep B: "That does not even make sense!"

HeadGuard: "Ah, I see your point. By telling him this, he will think on it, making him protect himself without us holding his hand! He will consider the large amount of Guards with "knee injuries" and would search out for protection on his own! All in favour?"

    Guard Rep A, C, and D: "Aye."

    "All against?"

    Guard Rep B: "Nay"

HeadGuard: "With the majority, this proposition has been agreed to, and we are all witnesses. In the next week, we will send the order to all four corners of the realm! Every single guard must follow this order."

Guard Rep B: "Surely you can't be se-"

HeadGuard: "ALL of them. This meeting is adjourned."

And so it was decided, that this same piece of advice would be repeated by every Guard in the realm if they chance upon meeting the Dragonborn. Sadly OldGuard was killed in an ambush by bandits three days later. He tried to escape, but he could not run very far.
Even with this tragedy, the order did not change, for it had a new meaning to the guards.

It would now be said in memory of OldGuard, and a desire to protect the people.

    What have I done…?

Well, it's out of my system now. Weird, since I've never played the game.

I used to be a wizard vampire bandit…

but then I realized it was easier to just shoot adventurers in the knee.

  26. LinkorZelda on January 3rd, 2012 3:28 pm

Hi, I'm the Dovakiin. You may know me from the popular video game Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, were I saved the world from an Immortal world eating dragon. But today I'm here to tell you a new epidemic sweeping across Skyrim: Arrow related knee Injuries, or ARI. Everyday, thousands of strong, brave adventurers are forced to give up there promising careers due to ARI. But I'm here to tell you this can be stopped. The Caring Overwatchers of Knees, or COK, is an organization dedicated to ending ARI. With just a small donation, you too can do your part to help. Please call 1-800-ARROW-NEE or go to http://www.COK.com to help. Thank you.

The sad thing is if someone in real life does get an arrow to the knee, he won't get sympathy.

  30. John_Know_Doe on January 3rd, 2012 9:16 pm

that last one explained why I hate those jokes perfectly.

  31. SuperPinkiePie on January 3rd, 2012 11:20 pm

Dovakiin in that last video makes me think of every internet tough guy evar.

On a Bethesda related thought, what if the next Fallout game featured bows and arrows. Their special trait would be that the arrows would inflict critical 2x damage when the leg is targeted in V.A.T.S.

Or someone could just make it as a mod.. I dunno, just a thought.

I used to be a troll like them but den i took an arrow to the knee
