Yes. Really. Check yourself. No Mega Man. The evidence shows that the sprites are ordered by series alphabetically. There is no Mega Man to be found between Lord of the Rings and Metal Gear Solid.

After scanning this over for about 10 minutes, I've found that at least one major character from every memorable game I've ever played showed up. Even the ones I thought for sure wouldn't be there (Castle Crashers, Prince of Persia) showed up.
