I just had a wicked awesome idea. What if Nintendo decided to manufacture AR Pokémon cards? The 3DS could show the attack animation in Augmented Reality, and you could take snapshots during duels, and the game would automatically calculate damage and everything. No need for counters, dice, or anything!!! Just the cards, you, your Nintendo 3DS, and your game face. Hell, they could make the cards HUGE. Then you could have people playing outside and it would look totally badass.
The only time this image has been used to point out an actual badass.

You should have just beat him up and taken it, like any other respectable trainer.
You don't really roll them that often. You use them in place of flipping coins (Even numbers represent "Heads". Odd numbers represent "Tails".) Also, they're used as damage counters. -10 HP is 1, -20 HP is 2, and so on & so forth. (When the damage is above 60 points, you just whip out another die) It's better than carrying around a bunch of paper cutouts, coins, or those beads. All purpose tool.

The same thing happened when Mr. Abramovici tried to swing his giant sledgehammer-arm down on me in the Steel Mill in Arkham City. Not only did it send him flying backwards about 40 feet, but poor Abramovici lost the use of his sledgehammer.

Okay, this card is cool but the card designer missed out on some card details.
1st- it shouldn't say "Basic Pokemon", it should say "LEGEND"
2nd- when a card has a Poke-Power, each word in the title is capitalized (such as Lugia LEGEND's Ocean Grow)
3rd- the attack name should receive the same treatment with capitalization
4th- the art should not cover the copyright information found on the bottom of each card (or the left side when viewing them together like this)
5th- the power and attack needs better wording, (remove 4 counters, then choose to either discard the top card of your opponent's deck or discard an energy attached to the defending Pokemon) (discard your opponent's hand)
6th- weakness, resistance, and retreat cost should not be capitalized.
7th- the energy symbols are usually rotated in LEGEND cards (though it is possible they are, with the colorless symbol's design)
8th- no set number or symbols
