Yep, not a prank this time! I should have posted this sooner but since everyone keeps sending it in I figured I’d better get it out there for those of you who didn’t catch it yet!

Well at least now we ultimately know that phoenix DOES in fact have legs!

Who knew that Pheonix Wright had the ability to shoot lazers?

5. KarmikCykle on October 24th, 2011 3:22 am

So this brings the number of Ultimate MVC3 characters I care about up to two. Still not enough to remove the sting of being ripped off by Capcom with the original version.

Just like in the Phoenix Wright games, Maya does half the work for him.

That song switch to Pursuit when entering turnabout mode is just pure beauty.

Don't laugh about a lawyer in a fighting game-he's caused a few casualties in his time!

His sneeze is a deadly force!?!?!
*ahem* Now i've seen everything…..

12. JboneDRS on October 24th, 2011 4:44 am

it's about damned time those super heroes faced a law suit for all the shit they break!

13. Shady Kitsune on October 24th, 2011 4:51 am

As much as I find Mr. Wright hialrious in UMvC3, it looks like they put minimal effort to giving him moves.

OK, the evidence projectile is ok. But sneezing? Well, I've seen weirder in a fighting game. Though just fiddling at invisible objects at the ground counts as a combo? Even the paper tossing was better. And since when can he shoot LASERS?! Why suddenly give him a power he shouldn't have?

All in all, I'm having mixed opinions on his appearance. It's pretty good, but some things should have been different. =/

14. Nuckel on October 24th, 2011 5:13 am

This 3D-adaption of Phoenix doesn't actually look well done. I also don't digg the voice acting… Sorry.

15. Skrist on October 24th, 2011 6:45 am

They didn't put Megaman in again because Phoenix Wright would beat his ass with his: "GODLIKE LAWYER POWERS!"

16. HughbertEsq on October 24th, 2011 6:53 am

Hold on a Mo' did the judge "Overrule" something, on both sides?

17. ChemicalKirby on October 24th, 2011 7:00 am

Join a fighting game, Don't fight, Accuse fighters for murder.

18. CriticalQuit on October 24th, 2011 7:35 am

I don't have this game and probably never will…

But this is the most awesome thing Capcom has ever done.

Discounting the "charging extra" part of it…

19. Deep Thought on October 24th, 2011 8:13 am

Tell me I wasn't the only one to notice that.

Needz moar litigation vs. She-Hulk.

21. Dr. Furry on October 24th, 2011 10:53 am

i'll say it again, it's sad teh amount of people that will buy this overpriced scrub fighting dlc JUST for pheonix. it's even sadder the amount of people that try to defend capcom and their greedy ways. they're the EA of the fighting community.

22. KZN02 on October 24th, 2011 11:04 am

What does Wright use to style his hair? A HAIR COMBO!

23. Immortal_Mook on October 24th, 2011 11:19 am

I exist, so I should be heard!
No matter how long it takes, I will not back down!
Just like my hero, justice will rise!

Phoenix Wright: OBJECTION! Mr. Deadpool,I have found a flaw in your testimony.
Deadpool: What!?
Phoenix Wright: *Shows a pic of Gouken teaching the Shoryuken to Ryu and Ken* Take a good look at this picture.
Deadpool: Yeah? What about it?
Phoenix Wright: You claimed that my client copied the same uppercut as yours, yet we see his master teaching it to him. That only means one thing. *Slams on the desk* YOU are the one that stole Ryu's Shoryuken!
Deadpool: *Breaksdown* YOU PRESSED THE WRONG BUTTOOOOON!!!

25. MasterLuigi452 on October 24th, 2011 11:54 am

Phoenix accuses Dr. Doom legally…
Pure beauty right there…

26. Immortal_Mook on October 24th, 2011 12:26 pm

27. KZN02 on October 24th, 2011 1:01 pm

Well, Doom already does it.

28. Mindlessinvalid on October 24th, 2011 1:04 pm

They totally missed a way to capitalize on an obscure in-joke.

You know how you can call in your other two fighters for assists?

This would have taken considerable time to implement, but have one of Phoenix's moves be Mia possessing an enemy fighter for an assist.

Breasts and all.

To make that happen, they'd have to create duplicates of all of the character models and then add the breasts, then UV map those new models to the old textures. If i were one of the character modelers and I received that assignment, I would probably kill everyone in the office and then wear my boss's skull as a hand puppet.

I effing hate UV mapping.

So this is what's possible if you spend 12 years in law school…

Tron Bonne
Viewtiful Joe

34. VJoe10[8] on October 24th, 2011 5:38 pm

Alternate costumes include Edgeworth, Von Karma, Larry Butz, Godot, and Apollo Justice. (Just color swaps though)

35. PortalMan118 on October 24th, 2011 5:44 pm

OBJECT……….actually I'm completely fine with this.

How real lawyers solve cases. Too bad he ends up murdering people instead of being a lawyer.

38. TopHatEngineer on October 24th, 2011 10:10 pm

looks like this was something

<img src="">

capcom couldn't object to

39. AuraMaster on October 25th, 2011 12:48 am

Gotta say, they picked a very good voice actor to give Phoenix a voice.

40. lordlaharl422 on October 25th, 2011 1:09 am

Well, extraterritorial rights WERE actually a plot point in Ace Attorney Investigations.

41. BrokenGlasses on October 25th, 2011 10:38 am

augh, my only compaint is his voice. There's no power to his "Take That!" or his "Objection!". This makes me a little sad.

Aside from the whole, y'know, capcom ripping people off-thing.

42. Jimmy on October 25th, 2011 5:14 pm

Tsk tsk tsk, you should know by now that Shawn doesn't give credit where due. You got to get it in writing.

44. Xenomorph42Q on October 26th, 2011 11:32 am

I get the feeling whenever I play UMvC3, all I'll be able to focus on is Phoenix's "I have I'll submit the I have I have I have I'll MAYA?! I'll submit I have"… Really too bad they couldn't get the guy who did the Objection! and Take That! effects from the games

I mean listen to him now! He sounds like…

…wait a minute.

*Listens very closely*

Oh my God.
