    OBJECTION!
    Space, being a low gravity environment, as well as an airless vacuum, would be unable to support an explosion of that size and shape. The shockwave would be incapable of damaging Nyan Cat more than a few cuts, and the debris would form a sphere, not a mushroom.
    Therefore, Nyan Cat is safe and sound playing Portal.

    Oxygen in the void of space would just disperse with no central gravitic force to keep it in one area, and would thus be too thin to support audible sound waves.

    Besides, everyone knows you need to have a portal-conducting surface to have portals. Where would you find a surface like that in space?
    (Hint: the moon does not count. It has substantial gravity, and would keep the leaked atmosphere as its own.)
