I'm currently building one right now, and I am turning it into a castle. It is made of Mossy Cobble however. Built solely for the fun of building :) And for the adoration of my younger cousins (I'm so lonely ;_;)
but it's wool, just punch 'em it is just as effective, and doesn't waste perfectly good pickaxes on a building
now, imagine an actual creeper walking up on you, it'd be nearly impossible to see
