Not to ruin this sheer awesomeness, but shouldn't Mario be seeing the Goomba's sideways?

  2. Darkangelsv1 on March 18th, 2011 3:12 am

Great, with those kind of kill icons, there needs to be a Mario Campaign for Bulletstorm.
Get the axe even after burning Bowser to death with Fireballs
Stomp a Goomba, bring it back to you with your whip, boot him, bring him back with your whip, stomp him and toss him into the nearest Goomba. Repeat

In response to that hidden block…I think we'll go with a little Bohemian Rhapsody, gentlemen.

  8. TehVortex on March 18th, 2011 4:14 am

  9. Taiho on March 18th, 2011 5:10 am

I demand this game on the 3ds.

  10. Marzen on March 18th, 2011 5:56 am

Pfff, easy game is easy. NOW try Battletoads 3D.

  11. therandombear on March 18th, 2011 6:38 am

No doubt, that was awesome, but as platformer it would fail like 3D sonic. Sidescrolling FPS would not work.

Other then that it was again, very awesome.

  12. OrangeKegon on March 18th, 2011 7:56 am

I would so totally play this if it was real

If you're invincible when you pass the flagpole in the original SMB1, the regular level music plays instead of the fanfare. I know, I've done it. This video is NOT 100% ACCURATE TO THE GAME AAAARGH.

  19. RoverTHX on March 18th, 2011 12:33 pm

I can the see the gimmick with the 3D now, I mean it wasn't in 3D but I was a little surprised about that tiny pit over the stack of blocks, it was actually thrilling and I can imagining doing that with an actual gap, may seem a bit out of reach but from sideways it seems just silly.

Words cannont express how awesome this video is.

  21. Luigi676 on March 18th, 2011 2:21 pm

Hopefully there will be no kids online. With their "M3rrio Is 4 B4ybeez!1! Lol! C0D is betr!" stupidity.

  22. Trainer_Black on March 18th, 2011 2:38 pm

So can we have a version of Brick smushing midget bandits on the head?

  23. Ataeru on March 18th, 2011 3:43 pm

its very awesome, but the black ops awards are very off putting for me. :/

  24. Red on March 18th, 2011 4:05 pm

I hope they make the rest of the game… release it online maybe???

  25. Someguy5031 on March 18th, 2011 4:25 pm

    Great stuff!

I'd like it if he added hands and stuff though. Freddie W 's great though.

  26. KitchwaTembo on March 18th, 2011 5:08 pm

    … Holy shit.

  27. BoxeyBrown on March 18th, 2011 6:57 pm

I know that almost all of us are thinking it, but darn I really wish this was an actual game!

  28. Uzumakiclan43 on March 18th, 2011 7:35 pm

I always thought Mario would feel claustrophobic in those narrow alleyways on world 1-1, but I never knew just how until now!

  29. Red on March 18th, 2011 7:38 pm

    Due to this guy:

You know, for the many achievements you can get, such as collecting a mushroom, killing an enemy from below, or finding a hidden block, you'd expect to get an achievement for getting a star powerup…

    Miyamoto is disappoint

  34. epicspoon on March 21st, 2011 12:29 am

funfact: the game designers did not program mario to actually go inside the castle. he actually never stops walking. standing in the doorway turns him invisible while the square imediatly the the right of the door is completely solid.

this can be proven by either jumping the flagpole in 3-3 or by activating a walk through walls game genie code.
