FUKKEN HOW DO I WORK?!

Huh. Seriously, how does he work? I mean if he’s full of magnetism wouldn’t that short out his hard drive, or memory banks, or whatever the hell robot masters use? That Dr. Wily is more of a genius than I gave him credit for!

Magnets, they FUCKING work because unpaired electrons spinning in the same direction create lines of magnetic domains!

that is definitely not how magnets fucking work.

  8. Shatman on October 8th, 2010 11:23 am

I can think of a couple of jobs he'd be better suited to than what Dr. Wily has him doing.

    - Space station repair (magnetizes to outer layer. Walks around.)
    - Finding lost keys
    - compass tester
    - computer tester
    - Window washer (magnetizes to iron framework)

    What can YOU add?

  9. Flamerider on October 8th, 2010 11:33 am

    Duh.

  10. Vosur on October 8th, 2010 11:38 am

Nope. -Stretches neck for a moment then reverts back to normal-

    Magnet Man is…
    -Puts on shaded monocle-
    Bipolar.

I remember Shonen making this and sending it in months ago. Good to see some Halolz rules are still in effect.

Hardware Repair in General… unless said hardware is functional, in which case he would brick it, which would instantly give him a job in repairing said hardware, what with recovering every goddammed screw lost, etc. Once repaired, his workmates and him will go deliver said repaired hardware and turn it on, only for Magnet Man to once again brick it.

It's a vicious cycle of money.

Warning: TVTropes link above. If you click it, be prepared to be in front of your computer for the next 10 hours/days.

  21. supreme_slayer on October 8th, 2010 3:15 pm

They simple manipulate the strands of the invisible weave of magical energy provided by the gods to manipulate the laws of the world around them in a temporary and usually rather insignificant way. Unlike a sorcerer who is able to simply bend the weave to his or her own will, a wizard must learn over time how to perceive and manipulate the weave through finesse. This does limit the ability for a wizard to cast many spells a day, as it is a very strenuous activity, but unlike a sorcerer they are capable of using a great multitude of spells, rather than a small arsenal which was learned naturally.

Well you see, around the nucleus of the atom, where the protons and neutrons live, there are electrons whizzing around. We used to think that they had certain circular orbits like the planets have around the sun, but have discovered that it is much more complicated, and much more exciting! Instead, the patterns of where we would likely find the electron within one of these orbitals takes into account Schroedinger's-

Oh, you didn't actually want to know? Sorry then.

  23. supreme_slayer on October 8th, 2010 3:24 pm

Seems like another fake to me. The situation was too perfect to be true.

  24. Annonith on October 8th, 2010 3:24 pm

Dr Wily probably doesn't know how he works either. He probably created Magnetman for the sole purpose of giving Megaman power-up that will kill him instantly, but hey whaddayaknow FUKKEN MIRACLES!

  25. Darth_Destro on October 8th, 2010 3:33 pm

    O.o

    You lost me at "They".

  26. Alpar on October 8th, 2010 3:40 pm

MagnetMan doesn't even know about himself? Well that's rather…
    *Shades*
    ..shocking.

    FFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  27. Alpar on October 8th, 2010 3:41 pm

Rule of Halolz: Shawn does not submit submissions from his e-mail account until months later.

  28. Flamerider on October 8th, 2010 3:42 pm

If I could take another rough stab at it, if you please.
There could be some sort of nano-technology keeping the magnetic fields in check, or at the very least, storing the memory and so on through entirely different means that cannot be wiped via magnets, i.e. a more hardware based system of storing data.

    Or it could be wizards.

  29. Dimomarg on October 8th, 2010 3:59 pm

    NEGATIVE. I think he's philosophizing.

  30. Zyquux on October 8th, 2010 4:43 pm

I do believe that are overestimating the intelligence of teh interwebz.

Or maybe I'm just jaded and cynical. xD

  31. Fearow on October 8th, 2010 5:05 pm

This is somewhat relevant to Mega Man fans: Mega Man Legends 3 has been announced for the 3DS. Insert freaking out Mega Man fanatic comments.

  32. Totema on October 8th, 2010 5:26 pm

    Slam back…
    *clown paint*
    A Faygo.

    WOOPWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  33. Missinko009 on October 8th, 2010 5:26 pm

*Insert complete obliviousness to the classic Mega Man series up until Mega Man 9 and the Battle Network Series* Yay!!! A new game for a system I have no money for IN 3D!!! Wait, 3D…HOW DOES IT FUKKEN WORK?!?

  34. DM1293 on October 8th, 2010 5:29 pm

This is a legitimate question people. Dr. Wily invented a robot with circuitry immune to MAGNETS. Fuck the robot made out of a stump, he's made a robot that SHOULD BE WEAK TO HIMSELF BUT ISN'T.

Its almost like he learned from Metal Man…and made a competent….robot……..FUCKING RUN HE'S LEARNING WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE

  35. Darth_Destro on October 8th, 2010 5:55 pm

    Oh sure! Blame the wizards!

  36. KamikazeGible on October 8th, 2010 6:30 pm

Never question these things, because that's when things go bad. Like in Looney Tunes when a character is running off a cliff and doesn't fall until they realize they're in mid air.

  37. shazbot32 on October 8th, 2010 7:03 pm

you sir have just won yourself a free internet.

    I HAD SHIT TO DO.

Oh my god. there's another window open with it in!

    help me~

  39. Sir_Nox on October 8th, 2010 7:48 pm

TV Tropes has robbed me of more than a few hours of my life every week. It's fucking EVERYWHERE!

  40. Sir_Nox on October 8th, 2010 7:52 pm

I assume as long as he doesn't touch himself with his magnet-hands that Magnet Man should be okay. Poor Magnet Man, puberty must've been a very tough time for him. Wait…do robot masters have puberty? I mean nobody has ever actually seen Wiley build them, for all we know MagnetMan was just a fridge magnet that became self-aware.

  41. M4DD4WG on October 8th, 2010 8:02 pm

so how was he posting then if the computer broke? and if he had his own to use then why was he using his dads?

  42. AuraMaster on October 8th, 2010 8:03 pm

    Want some moon sapphires, buddy?

  43. AuraMaster on October 8th, 2010 8:04 pm

Halolz Rule 59 -- Plan your submissions to be funny in 3 months.

  44. AuraMaster on October 8th, 2010 8:12 pm

Perhaps Magnet Man would be able to help Plusle with a little problem he's been having.

  45. Kam_Fakami on October 8th, 2010 8:39 pm

    I want to know!

  46. Kam_Fakami on October 8th, 2010 8:40 pm

    Ask Iwata. He knows.

  47. Kam_Fakami on October 8th, 2010 8:51 pm

Because newfags are stupid. Only a select few become successful /b/tards.

  48. shadow649 on October 8th, 2010 8:59 pm

The word after "They" is spelled incorrectly so I spent the next 5 hours grammerizing it and came up with the replacement: simplicitysisize

  49. shadow649 on October 8th, 2010 9:01 pm

Don't give away the next chapter in my physics book! I want to experience the thrill of not knowing and then finding out in the plot twist!

  50. shadow649 on October 8th, 2010 9:03 pm

A wizard inside the system hypnotizes you into believing it's actually 3d and whenever someone tries to tell you how it actually works the government finds them and kills them bef- AUUUGHHHHHHH THE CAPS LOCKS!!!!!!

  51. shadow649 on October 8th, 2010 9:04 pm

If you see a really lame submission in a couple months blame Shawn and ignore me :P

  52. shadow649 on October 8th, 2010 9:05 pm

Fucking grammers how does one comprehend it?

  53. Kam_Fakami on October 8th, 2010 9:56 pm

So how does one make a Triforce?

  54. supreme_slayer on October 8th, 2010 10:52 pm

The word is not spelled incorrectly. I mistyped a different word because people's brains sometimes process words incorrectly as they are typing them. Also, I would have edited my comment if it were possible, but it will not let me.

  55. werewolfsfury on October 8th, 2010 11:05 pm
