I've never played XIII and I really can't tell. It's not like the name is a give away either.
I find it much easier just to believe that JRPG characters have no gender, and are in fact closer to leeches than to man it terms of sexuality.
The people at SquareEnix really need to start making their male characters MALE.

No really. Only an hour into the game in I already forgot this guy existed.
