Wow, our first “Metroid: Other M” submission! Seems like Samus is going a bit more Wrestlemania in this one. Personally I’d use that laser cannon attached to my arm… but that’s just me!

It's from Metroid: The New M. Look at the trailer on Youtube. It looks pretty kickass.
Perhaps the power beam is not very effective and she doesn't have the super missle TM?

The color looks off because it is the POWER SUIT not the Varia Suit. For some reason they rounded the shoulders on it though.
Actually, it looks like it's the varia suit, but with the power suit color scheme.
Look at the neon green chest lights. See how there's the two of them? On the power suit, there's only one, and it's not shaped like that.
Remember, this is a new development team for this game series, so they're going to have a new take on the game.
For someone who's about to have their neck snapped and a charged arm cannon fired down their neck, the Chameleon looks remarkably like it's saying "Tell me more about my eyes…"

Is it just me that is kinda angry at the fact that Body Slam is a normal type attack and can therefore never be 'Super Effective' against anything?

Samus doesn't know any attacks that utilize her gun until level 17. At, which point, she learns both Ice Beam and Hyper Beam.
It could even be that the Power Suit got a graphical update. If that's the case, I'd miss the pointy shoulders…
In her suit, she has great physical strength and speed. Might as well finally put it to good use.
