Kirby just won the game of hide and seek against Sonic.
But Kirby would have had to remove the skull from Sonic’s head in order to fin, making it impossible for the skull to stay in shape and not deform.

well…technically sonic only has one giant eye socket to begin with…so really, kirby would just have to jello-shlorp out his uni-eye (biting off the ocular nerve, of course), settle in, and pull his middle eyebrow thing down like a curtian. Sonic would still be alive, of course, just in a state of shock, hence his ability to stand.
mario better get those eyes back in HIS sockets if he knows whats good for him…
